About Me

Hi. My name’s Renee.

I’m a Filipina-American, born and raised in the suburbs of Virginia, USA. As a kid, I gravitated towards the fine arts, spending over a decade pursuing a career in vocal performance. Originally attending Shenandoah University for music, I eventually found I had a knack for written communications and made the switch.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve built a career as an agile and adaptable digital communicator in the games industry across several marketing disciplines, including:

  • Public Relations Strategy & Execution

  • Press & Content Creator Relations

  • Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Project Management

I’ve had the opportunity to launch AAA titles at Bethesda Softworks, develop viral content at IGN Entertainment, support a diverse slate of indie and global developers at TriplePoint PR, and now, lead end-to-end public relations for AA and indie campaigns at Arc Games.

Across these roles, I cultivated a robust portfolio of PR and social media campaigns focused on authentic storytelling, analytics-based strategy, and meaningful results. Whether through forming public narratives, navigating tight timelines, or collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders, I thrive in cross-functional roles (which is a fancy corporate way of saying I play well with others).

Outside of work, I’m into taking obscenely long naps, reading literary fiction and non-fiction memoirs, and of course, playing video games. Ask my Steam account - it calls me out for the 1,000+ hours I’ve put into Baldur’s Gate 3.
